Dale R. Miller (Teacher)

Dale Miller, age 79, formerly of Trotwood, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at Brookhaven Nursing Home after many years of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivan & Irma (Grieser) Miller, brothers Robert & Richard Miller, and sister Lois Miller. Dale graduated from Fairview High School and the University of Dayton. He taught at Trotwood-Madison and Dayton schools for 32 years, retiring in 1987. He worked summers at NCR's different areas, and spent a few summers at Miamisburg's Recreation Park before retiring. He was an avid book reader, a charter member of Trotwood Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, and a faithful blood donor for many years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Frances Miller; sons, Robert & Dane; daughter, Beverly Smith; grandchildren, Eva, Eric, Matthew, Phillip, and Benjamin; 4 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kay Miller, and many nieces and nephews.
